There is common problem for new Epson printers.

After firmware update by internet - printer will not recognize NOT ORIGINAL cartrige chips.

So if you use CISS or Refillable cartriges - you use not original chips.

If you allow printer make firmware update from Epson server - you will get this problem.

printer cant see cartriges.

The solution is - to make firmware DownGrade.

You can do it by yourself

I have all old version firmware for xp printer

Supported models for downgrade:

In order to execute firmware update you need to do next:

For XP-100/101/102/103/104:

Turn off the printer.

Press and hold STOP + COLOR + ON buttons at the same time within one minute after printer is turned off.

Hold this buttons until ink LED is on.

Update devices list and select firmware then click update.

When update is completed all LEDs will blink.

Press STOP button to turn off the printer.

STOP - red triangle in the circle.

COLOR - color copy button with two blue sheets of paper.

For XP-200/201/202/203/204/205/206/207/208/211/212/213/214/216:

Turn off the printer.

Press and hold STOP + COLOR + Wi-Fi + ON buttons at the same time within one minute after printer is turned off.

Hold this buttons until all LEDs except power LED is ON.

Update devices list and select firmware then click update.

When update is completed all LEDs will blink.

Press STOP button to turn off the printer.

STOP - red triangle in the circle.

COLOR - color copy button with two blue sheets of paper.

For XP-300/310/312/313/315/400/401/410/412/413/415/510/600/601/605/610/615:

Turn off the printer.

Press and hold STOP + LEFT ARROW + HOME + ON buttons at the same time within one minute after printer is turned off.

printer LCD will display "FW Update Mode".

Update devices list and select firmware then click update.

When update is completed confirm that "FINISHED" text and firmware information is displayed on the screen.

Press OK button to turn off the printer.

STOP - red triangle in the circle.

LEFT ARROW - white arrow on the left side of the OK button.

HOME - buton on the left size of the LCD.

For XP-700/701/702/710/750/800/801/802/810/850:

Turn off the printer.

Press and hold DOWN ARROW + ON buttons at the same time within one minute after printer is turned off.

Release buttons when HOME button is ON.

printer LCD will display "Program Update Mode".

Update devices list and select firmware then click update.

When update is completed (approximately 5 ~ 10 min.) confirm that firmware information is displayed on the screen.

Press on the center of the touch screen to turn off the printer.
